‘Tis the season for fairs, festivals, concerts and everything, well, “people-y.”

Sure, many of you enjoy mingling with the crowds under the sunshine and stars. Maybe it’s lawn seats for the Royal Affair Tour at Stage AE or waiting in line at PNC Park for a sample of beer in a mini mug (er, shot glass?).

Summer is fun, but for introverts who prefer a more laid back, intimate experience, it can be way too much in too small of a space. If that’s you, you’ll want to read on for our recommended beer experiences for the true introverts …

City Brew Tours (on a weekday)

This after-hours VIP beer experience takes you on a guided tour of four different breweries and includes light dinner and beer pairing samples (13-16 generous-sized ones).

You can book this tour for $99 per person Wednesdays through Sundays, but if you’d like a less hectic trip, consider a Wednesday evening. The van has space for 14 people, so there’s no big crowded bus to contend with, and the breweries likely won’t be as busy as the typical weekend evening. And you’ll be back home and in bed around 11 p.m., give or take.
