Americans walking less and less

by The 100 Companies

Take a walk on the wild side … or any side, just start walking!

A StreetLight Data study says Americans aren’t walking like we used to. In fact, the number of daily walks has dropped 36 percent between 2019 and 2022. The biggest drop was seen in NYC, Orlando and Las Vegas. We might be able to blame remote work, but let’s not forget that walking equals a longer life. Health experts say it helps control blood pressure, increases core strength, helps manage stress and improves sleep.

So as the new year approaches and millions of us set resolutions, let’s keep moving.
