There’s no need to travel overseas when we have a little piece of Italy right here in Pittsburgh. Shadyside restaurant Girasole – Italian for “sunflower” – is as inviting as the Tuscan countryside.
Girasole puts a modern twist on traditional dishes. From potato gnocchi tossed in marinara sauce with fresh mozzarella, to an all-Italian wine list – you just can’t go wrong.
Some may not feel comfortable in a below-ground restaurant like Girasole, but it’ll make you feel like you’ve stepped into an Italian wine cellar.
Business has been blooming for this Shadyside sunflower for 21 years, and there’s no sign of stopping.
