Hidden Gems: Visit Shadyside Nursery to exercise your green thumb

Since moving to a house with a spacious backyard, I’ve been itching to get my hands dirty in the garden and experiment with different vegetables.

For years, my friends have been raving about Shadyside Nursery, but it wasn’t until a few days ago that I experienced the nursery’s beauty and affordable products for myself.

After wandering and admiring the tropical plants and succulents, I finally picked up what I needed — a hoe, gloves, a bag of soil, a small terracotta pot and some kale seeds.

I left the nursery that day feeling inspired and hopeful about beginning my gardening journey.
