The Steel City and the ’20s

2020s

The 2020s. The name makes one think of the Gatsby age that ended in depression. But what will the new ‘20s entail for Pittsburgh?

Continued development, for one, with long-gone structures in the Strip District and former Civic Arena site set to host new office, retail and residential areas – same goes for Chateau and Hazelwood.

Let’s not forget a modernized terminal at the airport, which could provide as big of an economic boost as anything else.

Most of all, let’s hope for progress toward making a more perfect Pittsburgh. The challenges ahead are significant, but our citizens can overcome all obstacles.
