Where to hike around a former missile launch site

by The 100 Companies

While Western Pennsylvania has many great hiking options, one you might not know about is Montour Woods Conservation Area in Moon Township. This 300-acre park features over 10 miles of trails and some unique sights.

On the trails, you’ll find a small waterfall and a cave that looks like it was carved into a rock wall. You can also find a former Nike Missile Defense Site, which housed anti-aircraft missiles to help protect the region during the Cold War.

The park offers easy and intermediate trails and is a great place to spend a few hours on a sunny day.
