Steelers set for ‘Friday Night Lights’ as season approaches

by Michael Polzella

Steelers training camp is in full swing at Latrobe’s St. Vincent College, but the action shifts away from campus starting on Aug. 3, when Steelers Fest kicks off.

The event at Latrobe Memorial Stadium is open to the public. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for fans both 65 and older and 12 and younger. Children under 5 get in free.

Fans will enjoy games, prizes, food and photo opportunities until 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., the annual “Friday Night Lights” practice begins, followed by fireworks.

The preseason starts Aug. 9 against the Super Bowl champion Eagles.
