It’s March, so it’s almost warm enough to think about outdoor concert season in Pittsburgh.
The news that the Penguins are partnering with Live Nation on a 6,600-seat venue in their long-awaited Hill District redevelopment is great: up to 200 midsize shows annually that are indoors – and in the city.
Yet we have to ask: Can we expect a major announcement on affordable housing? “Bringing back the Hill” after the Civic Arena chapter means restoring a once vibrant neighborhood. A major housing effort would be a great companion announcement.
