For Pittsburgh, there’s preliminary good news. A recent office rental study by CB Richard Ellis suggests Pittsburgh will be among the top four metro areas least affected by the coronavirus.
During the 2008-2009 recession, the Marcellus Shale boom cushioned the blow for us. This time, according to the study, a new normal of socially distant office reconfigurations could make the office market here stable — or slightly better than most cities.
