Home On Point Confessions of a former Browns fan

Confessions of a former Browns fan

by

Every August, when the Steelers hit training camp, my Cleveland birth becomes a subject of morbid curiosity (and bad jokes) from every native yinzer I know.

Yet I have the greatest explanation for my Browns heritage and my legit Steelers passion.

I moved to Pittsburgh (where my dad was born) the same year the Browns became the Ravens, 1994. Even passionate Steelers fans sometimes forget: There were no Browns for five years, until 1999.

So I did what any true football fan would: I adopted the nearest (and best) team. And our kids grew up Steeler fans. So go Steelers!
