As a former organizer of Pittsburgh’s Comcast Light Up Night® celebration, I look forward to the official start of the holiday season. Since 1960, buildings in downtown’s Golden Triangle have flipped their switches precisely at 6 p.m., setting the city aglow.
Light Up Night® is a multi-dimensional, family-friendly event featuring musical performances, tree lightings, the opening of the Ice Rink at PPG Place and a German Holiday Market. It’s capped by a spectacular fireworks display and has become a tradition not to be missed. Where will you be on November 17, as Pittsburgh kicks off the holidays?
