Best places to kayak near Pittsburgh

For the past three summers, I’ve kayaked on Pittsburgh’s rivers with Venture Outdoors.

When COVID-19 prevailed and I thought Kayak Pittsburgh might not open, I decided to buy a kayak — something I’ve always put off with the fear of getting it on my car. Fortunately, I overcame that hurdle with the help of the owner at 3 Rivers Outdoor Co.

Now that I have my own kayak — and a bike— I’ve been exploring new waters and trails. Here are some of my favorite parks to visit:
