Three New Hospitals – UPMC’s Heart and Transplant Hospital will rise in Oakland where Children’s Hospital once sat. UPMC plans a Cancer Hospital in Shadyside and a Vision and Rehabilitation Hospital in Uptown. UPMC will also team with tech giant Microsoft on a digital health care experience. The two will share details in coming months.
Suburban Focus — In contrast, AHN will build a 160-bed hospital in Pine and several 10-12 bed suburban hospitals in partnership with Emerus.
