Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate and be thankful. On Thanksgiving Day, those who aren’t as rich in material comforts – the region’s poor and homeless – can be thankful for a hot meal from several organizations, including Jubilee Kitchen.
Located in Pittsburgh’s Uptown neighborhood, Jubilee is preparing for its annual Thanksgiving Day feast. Each year, the soup kitchen is packed with volunteers who enthusiastically serve meals to the less fortunate.
Thanksgiving is a great day to be thankful, but it’s not the only one. This winter, ask about volunteering on another day when help is needed but volunteers aren’t as plentiful.
