FDA warns breast implants are tied to lymphoma

by

The FDA recently announced breast implants could be tied to non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer affecting the immune system. Since monitoring the situation in 2011, 457 women developed lymphoma, including nine who lost their battle to cancer.

400,000 American women get breast implants every year, including 300,000 for cosmetic reasons and 100,000 for reconstruction. This means lots of women are at risk, and many shared their stories recently, stating they felt “blindsided.”

Robert Peirce & Associates stands against unfair women’s health practices. If you’re experiencing medical issues related to your implants, contact your doctor and consult an attorney.
