A burger and a beer almost always sound like a solid meal combo. If you’re visiting one local restaurant, it sounds like doing the right thing.
Burgh’ers Brewing donates $2 of each Farkleberry Tart blackberry sour ale it sells to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s Free Care Fund. Last year, while the brew was on tap only part time, the restaurant donated $2,642. This year, it’s always on.
It’s not the only good deed for the restaurant, which has locations in Lawrenceville and Zelienople. Burgh’ers recently was named a platinum sustainable restaurant for its positive economic, environmental and social actions.
