Kennywood has been an epicenter of fun in Pittsburgh since 1898. From its humble beginnings as a small trolley park, it’s now one of the most cherished landmarks of the area.
On July 13, the park’s newest addition will open to the public: The Steel Curtain, a world record-setting roller coaster. The two-minute adrenaline rush will max out at 76 mph and take riders through nine inversions, including the tallest in the world at 197 feet.
The first NFL-themed coaster in the world, it’s set to be a massive attraction, especially given the intensity of Steelers fans.
