The average American spends about as much time on their computer as they do sleeping – about eight hours a day – and that is taking its toll on our eyes.
Neta Vyayamam, aka “eye yoga,” is gaining in popularity. It is even recommended by the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
The 20-20-20 rule is a good starting point. Look up from your computer every 20 minutes, gaze at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. You won’t be able to ditch your specs but it will help with strain, dry eyes and screen fatigue. Eye like it.
