Pittsburgh Adds Flight to Seattle

An Air Alaska plane flying through the sky

The region’s frequent flyers felt as if they’d FINALLY been upgraded when Pittsburgh International Airport won approval for a $1 billion modernization plan recently. Now, they’re hoping to rack up 2,100 miles each way with a new direct flight to an iconic U.S. city: Seattle.

Alaska Airlines recently announced plans for a daily round-trip flight beginning September 2018. This follows the addition of several domestic and international flights.

This new route’s a bit different, of course. Many are asking: Is it a hint of Amazon’s intention of where to build its second headquarters?
