Pre-Covid, over $6 billion annually was injected into Allegheny County’s economy because of visitor spending. That saves each resident hundreds of dollars in taxes.
The positive impacts of tourism in Pittsburgh were clearly realized after much of that travel was halted in 2020. With residents and local businesses relying on tourism, our official tourism bureau, VisitPITTSBURGH works hard to attract new visitors and support the region’s continued rebound.
