Take a 'Burrr-tual' plunge for Special Olympics Pennsylvania

With COVID-19 forcing many in-person events to be canceled or postponed, the annual Polar Plunge, hosted by Special Olympics Pennsylvania, has an alternative — the Burrr-tual Polar Pop.

The nonprofit is asking virtual participants to “pop” an icy cold water balloon over their heads, or have someone do it for them, anytime from Feb. 1-26. Plungers must send in creative videos and/or pictures of their #PAPolarPop and commit to raise a minimum of $50.

Those who are interested in popping (or even just staying dry and “hibernating”) can register here. To learn more about other plunge options, visit the organization’s website here.
