Attention aspiring filmmakers

In May, the world lost acclaimed director Lynn Shelton at the age of 54. She didn’t begin working on her first feature film “We Go Way Back” until the age of 39, and was best known for “Humpday” and “Your Sister’s Sister.”

In her honor, Northwest Film Forum and Duplass Brothers Productions have announced a new grant called the Lynn Shelton “Of a Certain Age” Grant. The $25,000 cash prize will be awarded to a female or nonbinary filmmaker, aged 39 years or older, who has not yet directed a feature film.

The inaugural grant will be awarded later this year.
