Carnegie Library census

Americans are being asked to complete their 2020 census forms, but for many, the process is quite confusing.

To help combat frustration, here are three importat census facts from Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh:

1. It is illegal for the Census Bureau to share data with anyone, including the Department of Homeland Security.

2. It is estimated that for every uncounted person, Pennsylvania will lose $2,093 in federal funding.

3. It can impact voting. Officials use census data to redraw voting districts, based on the number of people who live in a specific geographic area.
