A pin that symbolizes pain, emotion and the hope for a cure helped Diana Napper discover her life’s work – founding A Glimmer of Hope. The Pittsburgh-based organization is committed to fighting breast cancer through supporting research initiatives, patients and their loved ones.
Since 1994, A Glimmer of Hope has raised over $4 million for breast cancer projects at Allegheny Health Network and Magee Women’s Research Institute. It has also helped women get mammograms using new, cutting-edge technology.
Napper believes Pittsburghers truly care and look out for one another, enabling the organization to become the success it is today.
