Expanding mobility for disabled populations

by
transportation for the disabled

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one out of every five adults has a disability, with physical mobility being the most common condition.

Disabled populations in cities have easier access to transportation, whether it be public transit or on-demand services like Uber and Lyft. However, those living in rural areas have much more limited options for non-medical transport.

At PA Health & Wellness, we believe everyone has the right to transportation and strive to partner with regional groups to make accessible transit a reality for our members. Groups interested in partnerships can contact us here.
