In Pittsburgh, we love our riverfronts. Well most of them. Riverlife, the nonprofit focused on making Pittsburgh’s rivers more accessible, found an unloved spot that needs help – the underbelly of the Fort Duquesne Bridge.
Riverlife issued a call for proposals, seeking creatives to remake this forlorn spot that carries a walkway between Point State Park and the Cultural District on the Allegheny River. The project, To Be Determined (TBD for short), is in review stage now. Three semi-finalists will get $5,000 in January to flesh out their ideas for public art. The selected art will appear in June.
