Find the True Meaning of Christmas on Grant Street

by
The Creche in Pittsburgh

With shopping deals and to-do lists a mile long, it’s easy to forget the true meaning of the holiday season.

But, if you’re downtown, you can’t miss the stunning Pittsburgh Crèche in the U.S. Steel Plaza. At 64 feet wide, 66,000 pounds and with 20 life-size figures, it’s the world’s only authorized replica of the Crèche at the Vatican in Rome.

Since 1999, this famous Nativity scene on Grant has preserved the spirit of Christmas for millions of visitors. The Crèche is free and open to the public 24 hours a day until Epiphany in early January.
