Balancing being a student and musician is hard – succeeding at both is even harder. Pick Patek, Pittsburgh-based musician and Pitt student, knows all about it.

Between throwing backyard concerts, working with Grammy-nominated producer Ryan Tedder and studying for finals, he’s garnered over 1 million streams on Spotify. His youthful and energetic vocals alternate between Philadelphia-rooted rapping on tracks like “Off White” and soulful ballads like “Blue October,” positioning him amid the most diverse artists in the ‘Burgh.
