Pittsburgh: Welcoming to Artists, Musicians

You’ve probably skimmed dozens of recent articles about the opportunities Pittsburgh affords musicians and artists. In my experience, this town has a magical combination of ideal qualities, making it the perfect home for musicians like us and I fully expect this trend to continue.

We are lucky to have affordable housing (all four members of our band purchased small homes in our 20s), a truly supportive community, increasing interest from the public in live music, and paid opportunities that are allowing folks to support themselves and their families doing what they love. Here’s just one example: Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council.
