Beat the summer heat in Pittsburgh’s 165 parks

The goal of July’s National Parks and Recreation Month is to “promote building strong, vibrant and resilient communities,” uniting and uplifting people in the great outdoors. Get involved with these events:

July 6 – Forest Bathing in Riverview Park: Join a certified guide on a slow, sensory 1-mile walk suitable for all levels.

July 15 – Hays Wood Park: Give back on Stewardship Day with trail work and a cleanup of the new Hays Wood 624-acre forest park.

July 20 – Parks on Tap Tour in Schenley Park: The pop-up beer garden series will feature cold brews and bites plus live local bands.
