Pittsburgh comedy: Open mic nights

by Sally@the100companies.com

Pittsburgh’s comedy scene is growing. And it’s more than performances by national comedians. We’re talking about local open mic nights with an emphasis on comedy. We all need a good laugh once in a while, so what better place to “LOL” than at the local watering hole? On the flip side, if you’re a wannabe comedian looking to test out new material, here are a few open mic spots:

Mondays – The Smiling Moose, Southside, 8:30 p.m.

Wednesdays – The BeerHive, Strip District, 8 p.m.

Wednesdays – Scarpaci’s, Mt. Washington, 9:30 p.m.

Thursdays – Hambone’s, Lawrenceville, 10 p.m.
