Celebrate animals, healthy living at Pittsburgh VegFest

by

In 2015, Leila Sleiman and Natalie Fristick – the founders of the local nonprofit Justice for Animals – saw the need for a fun event to bring attention to animal advocacy in a positive way, and so Pittsburgh VegFest was born.

The City Paper’s pick for Best Festival for the past two years is expected to draw 8,000 animal lovers of all ages to Allegheny Commons Park East on Aug. 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festival features food, 90-plus vendors, speakers, yoga demos and entertainment, including live music. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
