The increase in mental health problems leads to greater demand for support

In June 2020, 40% of Americans reported struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues; and in September 2020, veteran suicides increased 20% since the pandemic’s onset.

After a three-year accreditation to become an approved Crisis Intervention Center through the American Association of Suicidology (AAS), MyAdvisor’s VetAdvisor program became a national program of excellence in crisis response — one of just three in Pennsylvania and 113 nationwide. In April, we’ll receive the 2021 AAS Crisis Center of the Year Award for providing outstanding service in the face of extraordinary circumstances.
