More drones equal more insurance risks

Drone usage is flying ever higher in the U.S. The Federal Aviation Administration estimates that combined hobbyist and commercial drone sales will rise from 2.5 million in 2016 to 7 million in 2020, adding a projected 70,000 jobs and infusing billions of dollars into the economy.

Currently, commercial drone users are not required to carry insurance. However, with increased usage comes increased risk. Drone users should take the necessary steps to protect themselves from the numerous risks associated with drone operation.
