Curl up with a good book (store)

Long before online shopping killed chain book stores, independent book stores were in trouble (watch “You’ve Got Mail” for a precursor of the literary Armageddon).

Pittsburgh’s Riverstone Books bucks the trend. Owner Barbara Jeremiah opened Riverstone at McCandless Crossing in October. Riverstone features a children’s section and a growing calendar of events. Tonight (January 18) at 6:30 p.m., Pittsburgh’s own psychological thriller author Rebecca Drake celebrates her newest title, “Just Between Us.” The event is free, with light refreshments.
