Pittsburgh’s predictably chilly winter prognostication

by The 100 Companies

Despite what a lot of November’s afternoons would have you believe, the weather is finally turning wintry. The Farmers’ Almanac’s extended winter forecast, in fact, foresees a cold and stormy December for the U.S., and the 200-year-old publication doesn’t see things improving much.

Looking at the Almanac’s map, southwestern Pennsylvania is straddling an overall forecast of “Significant Shivers” or “Unreasonably Cold.” Meanwhile, the week of Jan. 16-23 might feature the coldest arctic air in years (40 degrees below zero, anyone?).

But let’s be reasonable. It’s going to be cold in Pittsburgh – who needs a book to tell us that?
