It’s that time of year again when snow-lovers rejoice – and others wait for the return of t-shirt weather.
According to the 2022 Old Farmer’s Almanac, Pittsburgh should prepare for a “season of shivers” as we wrap up this year and head into 2022. Areas throughout the Ohio Valley are expected to have a mix of below-average temperatures and above-average snow.
Cold and snowy? Of course. But here’s the better question: how accurate is the forecast? Give the people behind the annual Almanac credit, they admit their 2020-21 temperature and precipitation predictions were slightly lower than their average accuracy rate of 80%.
