After spending the summer in Buffalo, I got back to Pittsburgh in August and was driving on Fifth Avenue when I got stuck behind something city residents are likely more than familiar with by now — electric scooters.
In July, Move PGH deployed 1,000 of these scooters around the city. However, not everyone has been rolling with the new mode of transportation, which has been the source of hundreds of complaints.
In September, City Council passed an ordinance that increased age requirements and made rules for where they can be ridden. Learn more about the scooters and the updated rules here.
