YMCA Turkey Trot

Recently voted a best distance race by Pittsburgh City Paper, the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Turkey Trot is more than just a race. Last year, the group collected about 10,000 pounds of food and raised over $285,000 for the community.

The 29th annual race, presented by UPMC Health Plan, is one of the largest Thanksgiving Day races in the nation. Runners have four options: Family Fun 1-Mile Run/Walk, 5K, 5-Mile or 5K + 5-Mile.

Drop off nonperishable food items at YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh branches, Ascend Pittsburgh, one of four pre-race packet pickup days or on race day.
