It’s officially autumn, in case you didn’t know, but if you have the so-long-summer blues, there’s at least one thing to look forward to: fall foliage.
According to this handy interactive map, we’re just weeks away from peak foliage – that sweet spot when leaves are at their brightest red and orange hue. In Allegheny County and most of southwestern Pennsylvania, we’ll see patchy to partial foliage for the next couple of weeks, but the middle of October should be prime time to gawk at some trees.
Get to a park soon, and be sure to bring a camera.
