When Valerie Beichner stepped into her new role as executive director of Friends of the Riverfront, she embarked on a mission to make those who use the trail system feel welcome.
On her first day, January 2, Beichner launched a 30-day tour of local businesses to discuss the riverfront trails with those who use them the most.
“I’m proud to take on this role and help advocate for and build even stronger riverfronts for the City of Pittsburgh,” Beichner said.
The Coffee with Valerie tour allowed Beichner to meet with more than 60 trail users and get their feedback.
