People dancing inside a Pittsburgh Dance studio

Pittsburgh’s history is one of cultural diversity. Several local dance clubs celebrate this heritage. They also provide a good aerobic workout.

The Kizomba dance evolved from Angola. At Steel City Kizomba you will sway to the beat of this increasingly popular dance and learn about African culture.

For a true American and immigrant fusion of dance and sound, step over to West Homestead’s Bulgarian Macedonian National Educational and Cultural Center . You can learn and experience the Vecherinka or try Cajun, Zydeco and Creole dances with a live band the first Saturday of every month, 7:30-11:30 p.m.
