Do you believe? The real haunted spots of Western Pa.

haunted spots

We talked about Western Pa.’s haunted house attractions in our last edition. These locations, however, are supposedly the real deal:

• The original Pittsburgh Playhouse in Oakland is famed for ghosts, including the murderous “Lady in White,” who committed suicide there, and a tuxedoed actor who died in a dressing room.

• The old Allegheny County Jail now is home to courtrooms – and a shade or two. A former warden’s wife and an executed inmate allegedly roam the halls.

• Chatham University’s campus is filled with ghost stories, but none are creepier to students than the hovering “Blue Lady of Woodland Hall.”
