Pittsburgh has a rich veterans’ history – from those in the French and Indian War, to the thousands in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the war on terror. Now locals can share in the experience at the Heinz History Center.
This Veterans Day, the center is honoring local veterans in a big way. In its Great Hall, veterans and visitors will help unravel a massive, 36-foot American flag.
During the ceremony, which begins at noon on November 11, guests and veterans will sing the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence to honor those who served our country.
