How do entrepreneurs, academics, corporations, nonprofits, civic leaders and policymakers envision the future of Pittsburgh?
The Allegheny Conference on Community Development tapped thought leaders across the region’s 10 counties in an endeavor to study the areas’ issues and plot a productive path forward. The result – a “Next Is Now” strategic plan rooted in diversity and inclusion, sustainability and regional collaboration to guide the next decade of regional development through 2030.
Specific goals include improving the community’s standard of living by 25%, reducing greenhouse gas emissions to meet Paris Accord targets and doubling the projected job growth to create 75,000 new jobs.
