How has your taste in cars changed as you’ve aged?

by Sally Schroder

Back in my early 20s I would’ve sold a kidney for a Nissan GT-R. Face-peeling acceleration, exotic looks and, well, that’s about as much as my developing male brain wanted from a car.

But now that I have a life partner, financial goals and achy knees, my taste in cars has changed. I daydream about owning something plush, practical and cheap to own – but still fun to carve canyons with – like a Lexus NX 450h+.

Sure, one day I’d love to own both an NX and a GT-R – and I think my back will thank me for having both options.
