When the Pittsburgh group The Tempos recorded “See You in September” back in 1959, they surely didn’t foresee that their song would be usurped, re-recorded and turned into a hit by The Happenings in 1966.
They also could not have predicted that their song title could be applied to the corona-conflicted summer we just endured. See you in September? Surely. Perhaps virtually (hello, Zoom fatigue!). Or maybe it’ll be socially distanced behind a mask.
Thankfully, there’s no mask required to experience this issue of The Pittsburgh 100. Hope you enjoy! That’s our story. What’s yours? Share with us by writing our editor.
