My first introduction to Flower Crown was when they landed on Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Six Strings playlist with atmospheric and relaxed “Bender Szn.”
Holding a roster spot on local record label Crafted Sounds, Flower Crown brings a dreampop haze to the Pittsburgh music scene with their infusion of ambient vocals and lush instrumentation. Their latest effort, “Sundries,” arrived in May and finds its niche in a moody mix of washed out lead vocals acting as an instrument of their own in the rich sonic field that is Flower Crown.
Be sure to listen and follow them on Twitter.

I think I just found my new music guru – Logan Armstrong. He’s keeping me current and helping me avoid the rap trap of my 17 year old’s taste. Thank you. Can’t wait until next issue of The Pittsburgh 100.
