From dialect to sandwiches and gas station convenience stores, the Pittsburgh-Philadelphia rivalry has seemingly existed since the beginning of time. While these differences may seem trivial, the battle between the cities’ sports teams is all too real.
Unfortunately, numbers and recent success provide no conclusive evidence of which city is athletically superior. The Steelers hold more Super Bowl rings than the Eagles, the Flyers have more wins against the Pens (but fewer Cups), and the Pirates have more World Series titles than the Phillies (however, the Buccos’ last title was in 1979 … ).
So, which side of Pennsylvania are you on?
