It’s welcome news that Port Authority is planning 24-hour service on a handful of routes next year, with the chief goal of helping late-shift workers who rely on public transportation.

Lacking an extensive rail network and featuring several geographical barriers, Pittsburgh isn’t exactly always easy to navigate without a personal vehicle. WalletHub, however, ranked the city No. 33 in a survey that examined public transportation systems in 100 cities over 17 metrics.
